ABOUT DR. ISHIDA

Dr. Ishida is a native of Kapaa, Kauai and graduated from Kapaa High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree at the Oregon Health Sciences University, and then continued with a General Practice Residency Program at St. Francis Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 1976, Dr. Ishida returned to Kauai where he continues to develop a state of the art dental practice in Kapaa over the last 35 years.

Dr. Ishida’s quest for excellence has kept him on the cutting edge of dentistry by attending continuing education programs to keep him abreast of a profession that is rapidly changing. He has averaged approximately 200 hours of continuing education per year over the past ten years, and has primarily focused on cosmetic- smile enhancing, and complete mouth makeover dentistry. His forte in creating beautiful smiles has been enhanced from his training at the world renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies where he has graduated in the Advanced Aesthetic and Mastership Levels of smile design and Complete Mouth Reconstruction. In addition, he is a Neuromuscular trained dentist that can treat headache and neck pain that are commonly caused by jaw joint and bad bite problems.

Irene is our“Miss Aloha”Business Administrator and Treatment Consultant. She has a sincere commitment to her specialty, and has a real love for working with people. We are fortunate to have her as part of our team for over 30 years. She is born and raised on Kauai. When she is not attending to patients, she enjoys hula, gardening, baseball, walking, meeting new people, and spending time with her family.

Marie is our“Expertly Trained and Efficient”Clinical Coordinator and has been in the dental assisting profession for over 25 years. She attended the College of the Redwoods where she graduated with an AA degree in Dental Assisting. Marie has been with us for over 20 years. She is born and raised on Kauai. When she has free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, fishing, and gardening, especially orchids. Your comfort is her top priority.
